This was the most lovely January day! I can’t believe how fortunate I was to have such beautiful weather for all of my winter weddings. Buddy and Becca celebrated with a beautiful ceremony at Salem Baptist Church followed by a short and sweet reception among family and friends. I loved being a part of such a special event (in my hometown)! One of my favorite moments of the day was right at the very end, when Buddy and Becca were just about to drive away. Buddy had already lifted Becca into the truck (no easy task with a wedding dress involved) and gotten into the driver’s seat when Becca’s mom walked up. She went, “Mom!” and hopped back out of the truck for a hug, after which Buddy had to load her in again. Someone posted a video to Facebook the following day, and I loved watching it back! There is just something so emotional about that final goodbye. (It’s possible that I cried driving away from my own wedding reception, which probably didn’t send the best message… but what an overwhelming day, however joyful it was!) Scroll down for a shot of that sweet hug. 🙂 Becca and Buddy, thank you for being so genuinely kind and happy and in love. It was an honor to capture your wedding!
